Getting started
NetworkAI checks the TLS certificate, domain registration and DNS of each hostname you add, once a day, and alerts you when a certificate renewal has failed. Setup takes about two minutes.
1. Create an account
2. Add your first domain
Onboarding asks for a hostname, such as app.example.com. You can paste a full URL; the scheme and path are removed. NetworkAI runs a first check right away and shows the result, then checks the host every day.
- Add each hostname that serves its own certificate:
example.com,www.example.comandapi.example.comare separate entries. - The form checks port 443. To watch a service on another port, use CSV import with a port column.
- Private and internal addresses are refused: checks run from the public internet, like your visitors.
3. Choose where alerts go
The second onboarding step shows the address email alerts go to. Change it, or add recipients, in Settings; Free sends to one address and Pro to several, with CC and BCC. On Pro you can also send alerts to a Slack channel or your own HTTPS endpoint; see Slack & webhook alerts.
You will not get a reminder on every renewal cycle. Alerts fire when a certificate has missed its expected renewal, plus a safety net 7 days and 1 day before expiry. How alerts work explains the rules.
What is checked every day
| Check | What it reads | Details |
|---|---|---|
| TLS certificate | Expiry, issuer, chain, hostname match, revocation (OCSP/CRL), key and signature algorithm | Check results |
| Domain registration | Registration expiry date from the registry over RDAP, with WHOIS fallback | Shown on the dashboard |
| DNS | Whether the hostname has an A, CNAME or MX record | Shown on the dashboard |
Press Recheck on any row to run the checks again at once, for example right after you deploy a renewed certificate. Remove a domain from the same row to stop monitoring it.
Try it without an account
The same certificate check runs in the free SSL checker, and the Domain Health Check adds DNS and email authentication. Neither needs an account.
