About NetworkAIBot
If you found this User-Agent in your server logs, someone used one of NetworkAI's free tools, or NetworkAI's monitoring, to check your domain. This page explains exactly what that involved.
User-Agent: NetworkAIBot/1.0 (+https://networkaitools.com/bot)What it requests
The security headers check makes one GET request to the home page of the domain over HTTPS and one over plain HTTP, follows at most five redirects, and reads the response headers. The response body is discarded unread. The SSL checks complete a single TLS handshake on port 443 and disconnect. Everything else — DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, CAA and registration data — is read from public DNS and from the domain registry, not from your server.
What it never does
It does not crawl links, index content, submit forms, log in, scan ports other than 443 and 80, or test for vulnerabilities. It does not follow redirects to non-standard ports or to private network addresses.
How often
A free-tool check happens when a person asks for it, and results are cached for ten minutes, so repeated checks of the same domain do not produce repeated requests. Visitors are rate-limited. Domains added to NetworkAI's monitor are checked once a day.
How to opt out
To stop these requests, block the NetworkAIBot User-Agent at your server or firewall, or email support@networkaitools.com with the domain and we will exclude it. Certificates, DNS records and registration data are public by design and are visible to anyone regardless.
